How to Join YLA

MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION FOR FAMILIES & PARENTS WHO ARE ALSO MENTORING (if you have a family account you will not need a seperate mentor account) 

  1. Go to the Youth Leaders for America - Cache Valley website:

  1. Click “JOIN” at the top 

 

  1. Fill out the registration form completely. At the bottom of the form there are several required reading links and form links that must be completed before your membership is approved. It looks like this: 

Remember to set your email settings in your registration form so you get email information and calendar items from the website. If you select “NO” you will not receive information about YLA activities and classes. 

 

In “Sections” please select those that apply. If you are on the leadership team select “YLA Leadership” if you are mentoring a youth class select “Parent Mentor”. EVERYONE should select YLA Member Family.

  1. Add a family photo for the directory by clicking on the small “photo” icon on the second bar next to the table icon under “Short Description” (be sure to include a short description of your family too). Once you upload the photo click “send to server” and size it accordingly so it will show up in the directory. 

  1. Once you have submitted your application, filled out the required forms and paid your $110 membership fee (membership fees are to be paid before class registration is able to happen. Class fees will not be due until August 1st). Your membership will be approved. If you have completed everything and your membership doesn't get approved within 2 business days please notify us by email [email protected]

 

  1. Class registration opening date will be announced via GroupMe. You must have your membership completed before you can register for classes. If you have not finished your account registration or update (as required) and paid your yearly membership fee, your students will not be able to register for classes until you have completed your registration and paid your membership fee. Classes may fill and your students will not be able to get the classes they want.
